England & Wales Sold Price Map Overlay — Chrome Extension

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Summary

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

Data collection

The extension does not collect any of the following:

How the extension works

When you visit Google Maps, the extension reads the current map viewport (latitude, longitude, and zoom level) from the page URL. It uses this to fetch publicly available, pre-generated JSON files containing HM Land Registry Price Paid Data from a static hosting server (GitHub Pages). The sold price markers are then displayed as an overlay on the map.

No user data is sent to any server. The only network requests made are to fetch static, publicly available property price data files.

Local storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API solely to save user preferences (such as overlay visibility settings). This data never leaves your browser.

Third-party services

The extension fetches static data files from GitHub Pages (rahulborkar195.github.io). No user information is included in these requests beyond the standard HTTP headers sent by your browser. No other third-party services are used.

Data source

Property price data is sourced from HM Land Registry Price Paid Data, which is publicly available under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contains HM Land Registry data © Crown copyright and database right.
